A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Chick Fil A

Although I work at Chick Fil A, I decided that it may appropriate to review this restaurant through the eyes of an experienced Chick Fil A employee. The biggest wow factor of CFA is the service. The service is something that you would never experience elsewhere in terms of fast food restaurants. Cashiers and the front staff are very generous, polite, and helpful. Also the fact that they refer to you as a guest instead of a customer is a very nice touch. I also respect how the workers reply to a guest’s thank you with a “my pleasure” instead of a “you’re welcome” or “uh-huh.”

Now to the food. When I work at CFA, I normally bread and cook the chicken. This isn’t a glamorous job but it does tell me how important this duty is. Really this person is responsible for creating either very tender and juice chicken, or very tough and crunchy chicken with an unpleasant feeling in the mouth. What people really don’t know about CFA is that you can add cheese and vegetables to your sandwich. Honestly, this is what makes the CFA original sandwich so good. I like mine with no pickle, American cheese, and bacon strips. Plus add some Chick Fil A sauce and you got yourself a killer sandwich. Another great menu item is the breakfast platter. This little known menu item is the highlight to CFA’s breakfast. The platter comes with a biscuit, filet, eggs, and sausage gravy. It’s pretty delicious. But overall, you really can’t go wrong with anything on CFA’s menu.

Want a little hint about the best thing to order and how to order it? Whenever the CFA you go to is very empty and not crowded, the food tends to sit on the warmers for a little too long that they’re supposed to. Now in order to get a fresh sandwich with a freshly toasted bun, be sure to customize your sandwich. What I mean by this is that you should ask for no pickles, extra pickles, no butter, wheat bun, or cheese, etc…(you get the picture). This basically ensures freshness. Now for the nuggets, you really can’t get fresh ones unless you specifically ask for fresh ones out the fryers. The cooks will literally whip up a fresh batch just for you. Now for char grill, you can’t really predict when they’ll be fresh or old because the amount CFA sells varies so much. Now to the salads and wraps. You can basically get a fresh salad or wrap made specially for you if you customize it by adding extra cheese, or asking for no cabbage or other things of that nature.

Overall, Chick Fil A is a great fast food option for those who are looking for scrumptious chicken, great service, clean restaurants, and a little something extra that helps enhance your dining experience.

On a side note, if you are looking for a job, be sure to consider Chick Fil A as an option, especially if you are a current or potential college student. Chick Fil A has a very nice scholarship program that awards workers with a $2,000 scholarship after you meet a few requirements.
